About
Astro Notes is a daily record of where the Moon is and what twenty centuries of astrological writing said about that placement.
Monday through Saturday, a short letter arrives each morning. It gives the Moon’s sign that day, one traditional term defined in passing, and one named source. On Sunday, a longer issue covers the week ahead for all twelve signs.
The sources are a short shelf: Ptolemy, Vettius Valens, Dorotheus of Sidon, Firmicus Maternus, Abu Ma’shar, Al-Biruni, Guido Bonatti and William Lilly. They wrote from the first century to 1647.
It is not a horoscope. Nothing here predicts what will happen to you or asks you to set an intention. Every issue holds at least one thing a skeptical reader can look up and confirm. The position comes from that morning’s data, so it can be checked against any free app and found correct.
The record is free.
